No child should witness the cold-blooded murder of their mother and
older brother by their father’s hand. But Jessica Firth did sixteen
years ago when she was only seven. She has grown up with an evil shadow
lurking over her shoulder No matter what she’s done, how wary she’s
been, or how strong she’s become, it has always haunted and tormented
her.
Now it threatens to turn hers and her twin brother Eric’s
new life completely upside down. On the brink of death, their father
summons them to his prison hospital bed and asks that they clear his
name before he dies. He wants them to use their training as FBI agents
to find out the truth of who actually killed their mother and brother.
They need to know he is innocent before he dies.
Jessica sees
something in his eyes that makes her wonder if what she witnessed so
long ago actually happened. Years working as a criminal behavioural
analyst tells her that her father is perhaps telling the truth. Maybe he
is innocent and the real killer is still out there.
Jessica and
Eric set out on a quest to either absolve or affirm their father’s
guilt. What they find instead is a myriad of corruption, secrecy, and
danger, because there are people out there who will do anything to keep
the truth hidden, even if it means killing anyone who comes snooping in
their territory.
